“What an amazing course, I was nervous at the start but I really wanted to complete a course to start my journey in the fitness industry. The college has just blown me away, they were always there and truly supported me along my journey to success. The modules and layout of the course is fun and organised!
After finishing the course I received a job at F45, would highly recommend for anyone really wanting to learn and get into the industry.”
Felix Son Vu
“I cannot speak highly enough about the course, my tutors and the general staff who have helped throughout the course. The course was very in depth, and though challenging at times, provided me with great insight on not only on the fitness industry, but the way the body works and prescribing exercise to various individuals who may have unique differences. The tutor was absolutely fantastic, always available to answer my questions and incredibly helpful, despite me completing the course from America. The general staff have always been incredibly accommodating and understanding of the fact that I am overseas, and for that I will always be grateful. I currently plan to use my fitness qualifications and knowledge to continue to work as a college soccer coach in the United States”
Eric Dawud
“The best thing about this course was the flexibility, the fact that I could complete the course in my own time and at my own pace yet still get all the course work marked promptly by my tutor was a big win for me. Also, the course work was skillfully set out which made everything straightforward and easy to understand. The skills gained from this certificate has provided me with the job opportunity to transfer from the administration side of work into the gym in a well-established leisure centre so I can carry out my passion for assisting people in achieving their fitness goals.”
Bo-Tarah Rose
“I got into fitness after losing 15 kilos on my own fitness journey. I started at the very beginning with no knowledge as to what I was doing and I educated myself as I started to see progression within myself. I never started out wanting to become a pt, the passion for it developed as I started seeing my own body change. I began studying with ACSF in order to better my knowledge for my own training purposes and as time progressed, friends and family started asking for advice and my business, Body by Bo-Tarah was born! ”
Sophie Schetor
“After spending majority of my teenage years playing high level competitive sports I always knew health and fitness was the career path I wanted to go down and ACSF made that so possible with their flexible study and payment options which helped with my busy schedule. I loved that I could complete both cert III and IV combined and the support you get is outstanding.. My tutor was always only a phone call or email away and always provided that on going support. Doing this course through ACSF has allowed me to build my client base while studying and still pursuing my sports. I loved it! And proud to say thanks to them I’m now working full time in the fitness industry and it honestly does not feel like a job !! I highly recommend choosing ACSF for any future PT’s out there.. You won’t regret it !”
“I have recently finished my Cert III & IV in Fitness with the college via distance learning. This learning really suited me as it was flexible and worked in with my busy work schedule. The tutor I had, Shane Harvey, was fantastic. He was prompt at answering my questions and kept me going as at one stage I was going to quit. When I was assigned other tutors 3 quarters of the way through my cert IV, I started to struggle again, but after talking to Raewyn it put me back on track. The support was great.
After my own personal experience with cancer and heart disease I became very passionate about health & fitness so to be able to help and encourage others really drives me. At the moment I am implementing my knowledge and skills at my work place and have a jobfit program in place to help our team with health, wellness and fitness which I am really enjoying.”

“There are so many options today when it comes to becoming a certified Personal Trainer. Choosing the Australian College of Sport and Fitness (ACSF) was the best choice for me and a decision I am glad I made.
The health and fitness industry has been my passion since I was in high school and a topic on which I recreationally educated myself. The option of their home study course together with my Bachelor of Science degree gave me the opportunity to utilise the knowledge gained to work at my own pace between life, university and work.
The College really focuses on getting you “job ready” as I received a job offer while participating in my practical placement. Thus after boringly only signing up for the Certificate III in Fitness, there really was no other option than to continue on with the Certificate IV of Fitness. They will definitely be in my thoughts should I consider any of their short course options.
After 5 months of dedicated study I am now a certified Personal Trainer at FitFast Personal Training Studio, Carlton, VIC and am currently continuing towards my goals of obtaining my doctorate in physiotherapy and opening up my own personal training studio and athletic performance centre.
I am proud to be an ambassador for the Australian College of Sport & Fitness going forward into the health and fitness industry and offer my gratitude to the College, Paul and Alyssa for all your help throughout this journey!”

Brianna Driver
I recently completed my Certificate III and IV in Fitness via distance learning with the Australian College of Sport and Fitness. The flexibility of the course worked perfectly around my hectic schedule. The tutor who was assigned to me was fantastic and answered every concern and query that I had, straight away.
The distance course was thoroughly detailed and easy to follow. Additionally, I really loved how my tutor would go into great detail and elaborate on a question in an assignment, in order for me to not only gain a deeper understanding of the subject at hand, but also to assist me further my knowledge in the health and fitness industry. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree last year, but my passion had always been in health and fitness. To be able to help and encourage society to lead an active, healthy and happy lifestyle is something that drives me.
Upon completion of my qualifications, I gained employment within the first week. Currently I work at Anytime Fitness Labrador on the Gold Coast, and I LOVE IT!

As a volunteer within the club as we all are, and having no direct experience in this sort of area these sorts of resources are invaluable. I work in a profession where we maintain a lot of ongoing professional development and training, this Diploma of Sport & Recreation module is well constructed, informative and provides a great framework for developing a better understanding in this area.

I moved to Australia four and a half years ago. My career in the retail industry as a Buyer had spanned a decade and I was sure that I would continue with this career path in Australia. However, after my own personal experience with weight gain and also suffering from Lupus, I had embarked on a weight loss plan and exercise regime. The results were notable, not only did I lose a significant amount of weight and improved my fitness, I realised that this was an industry that I had a passion for and wanted to take that passion and start a new career. Considering I was 35 years old, this was kind of daunting, but I knew it was important for me to assist others to achieve their goals as I had achieved mine. Therefore, I investigated options around courses and I decided on applying for the course with the Australian College of Sports and Fitness. There are many courses available across the country both online, full time, part time and so on. But after reading the literature around the ACSF Master Training Course of Certificate III and IV combined, I felt it was the right course for me. I will be honest, the ACSF course is not a quick route to getting qualified, but it definitely is thorough. Although, my assignments were completed remotely, I did a 6 month placement at a local gym, had client case studies to complete as well as 12 assignments and a written exam. This level of thoroughness has given me the confidence that I am qualified enough to train people safely and effectively, something that I believe can often be overlooked in PT training courses. My tutor, Paul, gave me guidance and support and was readily available to answer any of my questions or concerns.
I am pleased to say that now I have passed my course. I have established a new business with a colleague from the gym, and I am now trained in other areas such as Advanced Anatomy, Stott Mat and Clinical Pilates methods and I am about to undertake my Stott Reformer Pilates course. I absolutely love every minute of working in this industry, of meeting new clients, helping people to feel good about themselves and delivering results, amongst other things. I would recommend the ACSF course to anyone thinking of becoming a PT, it really has worked for me and every minute of study was worth it. It’s a great sense of achievement when you get your certificates.
So, thanks ACSF and thanks Paul!

“We employ 3 international graduates from the Australian College of Sport & Fitness. I also personally know some trainers and managers of the College who are all extremely passionate about fitness and the training outcomes for their students.”
Brenda Chapman
My experience with the Australian College of Sport & Fitness has been very supportive and exactly what I was looking for, in regards to an online study program.
The industry is a passion of mine and the reason I chose to do the course online, was so it would fit into my already busy schedule. I didn’t have to sacrifice my work, business and family while attaining my personal training credentials. I like the flexibility you have and there were some weeks and even months when I wasn’t able to look at the course at all, but there was no pressure to get an assignment in on a certain date as that was set by me! What I really liked is that I had 2 years to complete the course which gave me the time and space I needed to keep balance in my life. All course content was posted out to me; I was contacted by my tutor within a week and able to start straight away! The support I received from my tutor, Jason, was great! I’m the type of person who asks a lot of questions so I can comprehend the tasks clearly and he was there to answer and support me in this way. So thank you Jason! If you are considering taking the step towards your passion in the fitness industry and looking for a program that is flexible, has the support structure and fits in and around your life, I will highly recommend studying with the “Australia College of Sport and Fitness”. You can complete it as quickly as you want or you can take your time, that’s up to you. The Australian College of Sport and Fitness will be the first company I will contact in regards to any other online courses I may choose to pursue in the future to increase my credentials and knowledge base.

“I have used ACSF international graduates as a great source of new staff for our fitness centre at NSW Leagues Club. We currently employ 2 international students in our small team of 6 staff and they have proven to be of excellent standard and fit for our organization.”
Cara Boustead
The experience that I have had studying my Certificate IV through the Australian College of Sport and Fitness, has been a truly positive one and I recommend studying through them to anyone!
Sport, fitness and “running around” had always been a part of my life as a child. At age 16, I became a coach through my Little Athletics Centre, took Physical Education as senior subject at school, and later studied an Education degree with Human Movement Studies at university: all driven by my passion to help kids be as fit as they can be. Whilst studying some sports science classes at university and continuing my passion for coaching track events, I also studied Certificate III part time at TAFE, and it was here that I discovered the differences, challenges and a passion in training all populations!
After finishing university, gaining a very full on full time job and unfortunately not enjoying the experience as much as I had hoped, I chose to complete my Certificate IV by distance education. Over a twelve month period, I was able to complete my studies and assignments during school holidays and in what little time I did have to myself between the paperwork at school. From the start, ACSF provided me with the best financial deal to study, within my own terms, provided me with all the materials and information that I needed, and there was always someone there at the end of an email or a phone call if I was stuck. My mentor, Rob, always gave adequate and helpful feedback on my module assignments and case studies – whether the answers were correct or incorrect, which furthered my knowledge and understanding. If Rob was temporarily unavailable to speak to, the staff in the office always had answers or returned calls with the right information in record time! I enjoyed my placement with an excellent personal trainer of 20 years’ experience, enjoyed meeting and learning to train a range of clients with a range of needs and goals, and am now a qualified personal trainer myself!
To anyone who is looking at studying through ACSF, again, everything you need is generously provided. The only thing that is missing from achieving “success”, is the want, the will and the discipline to get it done: which all comes down to YOU! I did it, you can too!

ACSF really cares about the job success students have after they graduate. For example, the Director of the College offered to personally help redesign my boot camp flyer so I would attract more clients!
Natalie Visser
Natalie had always struggled with her weight but found it even more difficult after having two beautiful children. She had lost some weight in between pregnancies, but found that despite going to the gym four times a week, her efforts went nowhere.
Her life changing decision came after speaking to one of the personal trainers at ‘My Gym’ (www.mygymtas.com). The personal trainer inspired her to set goals, encouraging her to work hard for them. In doing so, Natalie lost 10kg in 10 weeks. Overall she lost 25kg from her heaviest weight. With renewed enthusiasm for life, she did not want to return to her old desk job, with her youngest about to head into full time school. Natalie decided instead to study a Certificate III in Fitness after being told by family and friends that she should ‘just go for it’.
“I searched through the whole range of fitness certificates offered online. I knew working by correspondence was going to work best for me as it gave me the flexibility to study, whilst I worked two jobs and juggled raising my children. ACSF offered me the best value for money and with the Combined Certificate course; I was literally getting two certificates for the price of one certificate.
“For me, the modules were straight forward and easy to work through, and with two years to complete the course, it felt achievable. ACSF was great in providing me with an awesome tutor who was on hand to assist me through anything I didn’t understand and his feedback was always encouraging.
“Throughout my course I have been employed by ‘My Gym’, which has given me invaluable on-the-job experience. I now have permanent group fitness classes on the timetable and personal training clients in the diary. Two years ago, this change in career seemed so daunting, but now… it is a reality and I love it”.
“I would recommend this industry to anyone with a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals. It’s certainly challenging, but totally worth it. Several of my friends have also signed up after I recommended ACSF to them. I will continue to put ACSF forward as a great provider of the Ultimate Fitness Trainer course! Thank you ACSF.”
Jessica Bull
Born into a ‘sporty’ family I was always playing sports and enjoying the outdoors. Things changed when I began Taekwondo at the age of 18. I had the privilege of training with some of the finest TKD practitioners in Victoria, where I commenced instructing and competing. In 2000, I represented Australia at the First Asia Taekwondo Championships, Japan, where I won a Bronze medal. It was during the years of competing that my love for health and fitness flourished. Studying Certificate III in Fitness, I went on to instruct group exercises for the past 15 years in Aqua Aerobics and Freestyle Group Exercise Instruction (i.e., circuit, step, various types of aerobics, boxing and Les Mills pre-choreographed classes).
After becoming a mother, I found that I had become overweight. I had lost all confidence in myself and my abilities as an instructor. The self-doubt hit me hard and as such, I did not want to return working as an instructor. Using my passion for fitness, I managed to lose a whopping 36 kg. Mothers at the gym who I was training and instructing, began asking me how I lost the baby weight, and if I did Personal Training. It was at this point that I thought it was time I furthered my studies in fitness, so that I could help others become fit and a healthier version of themselves.
I decided to do the home study course with ACSF as the flexibility of the course allowed me to be able to work around my two children. Often I would study at night once the kids had gone to bed. I loved the flexibility of being able to do more when I had the opportunity or do less study during school holidays or the kids were unwell.

I commenced my course with the Australian College of Sport and Fitness with the prospect of learning something more about fitness. Throughout my Certificate III and IV in Fitness, I have learnt a great deal. The unit guidelines were thorough, the referencing of other information was strong and my tutor was extremely efficient and knowledgeable when I required assistance.
Overall, the ACSF course has not only provided me with a good understanding of my own health and fitness requirements, but also given me the ability to assist others with meeting and exceeding their fitness goals. Through doing this course, my confidence has grown so much that I recently completed a half marathon, which, in the past I would never even have contemplated doing.
ACSF offers a well-structured course that was great fun to do. I would encourage anyone interested in the health and fitness industry to give this course at ACSF a go.

My experience with Australian College of Sport and Fitness was an excellent one. I have been working in the fitness industry for the last 6 years in a management role running various Health Clubs in NSW and Victoria. I came from a business and sports background but hadn’t completed the Personal Trainer Course. I always wanted to expand my knowledge and become a qualified Personal Trainer, but found it very difficult to find the time due to work and family commitments.
With a very demanding job and a family, it was difficult for me to complete the course on campus, so the option of doing it by correspondence was perfect. During the course, I was very happy with the detailed information provided. I felt supported by the tutors throughout the process and always felt that they gave effective feedback which assisted in my learning.
My wife also completed the same course with the College and she had an excellent experience, as well. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure about learning by completing a course through correspondence. I was really amazed at how much I have enriched my knowledge after completing the course! It has given me confidence to start working as a Personal Trainer as well.
I have no hesitation in recommending the course to anyone who is passionate about fitness and wants to get a head start in the industry.
Patricia Farkas
Ever since I began swimming and aerobics, I became very passionate about fitness. I became very interested in a fitness career and wanted to take my love for sport and fitness into a new level by helping people to live a healthier and happier lifestyle.
Thus, I decided to complete Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness at the Australian College of Sport & Fitness. I believed I knew quite a bit about sport and fitness, but after starting my classes at the College, I realized how little I knew and needed to learn much more. All the teachers are well prepared, fun and wanted to bring out the best in us.
It was my dream to become a fitness model and after completing my Certificate III in Fitness, I began to prepare for a competition. I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish my dream if I hadn’t taken the courses at the College to increase my knowledge. I was able to compete in various events such as Joe Weider’s Olympia Amateur in Prague, and met fitness legends like Kai Greene.
Thank you Australian College of Sport & Fitness for giving me a jump start in my career!

My journey into the fitness industry started through running, which I took up after injuries curtailed my other sporting passion: soccer. After spending many years learning under a great coach I branched out and pioneered a new running club and became a running coach. My interest in fitness and core conditioning for runners led me to explore studying further. My wife got the ball rolling for me by registering me with ACSF for the Certificate III course. I have heard many stories about fitness RTO’s that pretty much give certificates away in a lucky packet. I found the ACSF studies to be thorough and challenging. My practical placement was a fantastic learning environment.
I was fortunate enough to have a placement in the same gym used by the Queensland Bulls cricket team and was exposed to training at the highest level as well as dealing with every day clients simply looking to lose weight and get fit. After completing my Certificate III, I started a group fitness joint venture which served as an excellent practical placement for my Certificate IV, in addition to my original placement. The process of setting up a business and handling all the associated responsibilities was a perfect learning environment.
When a golden opportunity arose for a gym at a nearby shopping centre construction in my neighbourhood, my wife and I took a huge leap of faith and committed to launching a gym. After exploring a range of different opportunities we chose to go with a young and developing franchise called Stepz Fitness. We closed down our group fitness operation and out of that I managed to recruit a first class trainer as well as learn some valuable lessons about the fitness industry. The best thing I like about my new mid life career change is being able to make a difference in people’s lives. For some it’s simply a health goal, others significant weight loss and others an important career change. Whatever the reason maybe, it is tremendously satisfying to help people transform their lives.
I would recommend studying through ACSF. I appreciated the flexibility of studying online and the grounding of the practical placement. I was able to continue working whilst studying and this made my transition into a new career smoother.
I have always been active and played soccer at a high level in my youth and early 20’s in NSW, and continued an active lifestyle even whilst working full time and moving to the UK.
In my early 30s, I came back to Australia but injured my lower back and stopped training completely due to the strain and fear of aggravating the injury. I wasn’t fit any longer and basically just worked my 9 to 5 job, and lived with the family life of domesticated bliss, and found it incredibly difficult to get back into a regular fitness routine as year after year flew by.
Then in my early 40s, I decided to get back into shape and read up on some techniques that would get me fit without aggravating my back injury. As I got fit, people at work, many much younger than me, asked how I was managing to do it, and I realized that many had similar issues like me with work and family life, as well as various injuries or maybe it was laziness, forcing them to lose motivation and make excuses with the lack of time as to why they couldn’t look after themselves. But I noticed many comments from family, friends and work colleagues saying that I had motivated them to at least make a start to get back into shape. So I started helping people in my own time and thought this could be something I could do at a more professional level.
So I came across ACSF and decided to do the online courses for Certificate III & IV in Fitness, learnt a hell of a lot from them which basically gave me the professional grounding, knowledge and confidence to do what I love, and now, in my mid-40s, I am able to help people of all ages get into shape and motivate them by sharing my experiences and changing their lives.
I highly recommend the courses through ACSF as there’s always support and an answer to any question or query you may have.

I discovered my passion for the industry as a 14 year old cricketer who was prescribed an intensive S&C program (which introduced me to the squat, deadlift, row, etc.) to recover from a number of overuse injuries which were the result of weaknesses. The passion kept growing and growing as I got older and learnt more independently before I decided to pursue a career in fitness. I completed my Certificate III & IV in Fitness with ACSF and have since progressed onto university to study my BSc (Exercise & Sport Science) and as well as complete other course such as: AWF Level 1 Weightlifting, ASC Level 1 Powerlifting and my Level 1 Australian Strength & Conditioning Association Licence which are all on the pathway to my career goal as working as a S&C coach with elite athletes.
Vincentia High School
Vincentia High School partnered with Australian College of Sport & Fitness on our Indigenous Fitness Instructor course. I was impressed by the quality of training provided by the College and the dedicated support and enthusiasm the College showed in making this project a success for all students. I recommend the College to anyone wanting to become a fitness instructor.

I recently completed the Certificate 3 in Fitness with the Australian College of Sport and Fitness, and I really enjoyed this journey. I have to say that the qualification and knowledge I received from this course offers me many opportunities in terms of personal development and employment.
First of all, I think this course is very well developed and constructed. For example, the online study is very flexible. It is a huge advantage for people who already have a very busy schedule, because you can develop your own study plans. Furthermore, the five models, case studies and placements offers very detailed information and knowledge about exercise science and fitness industry. All those knowledge you actually have opportunity to apply in your placement and case studies, which is absolutely fantastic.
Secondly, I had some very nice experience with college staffs. My tutor has been really helpful and she supported me through my study. More impressively, when I was facing some cash flow issues, the college just offered me a new payment plan, which helped me significantly.
Finally, I think if you are passionate about exercise and fitness, if you want to become fitness professional, Australian College of Sport and Fitness is your choice.
Jayce Love-Attard
I am currently in training for selection as a Royal Australian Navy Clearance Diver and endeavoured to begin the Cert 4 in order to better my chances of successful selection by expanding my knowledge relating to health, fitness and performance.
For me, the course provided a great opportunity to revisit some of the fundamentals of fitness and health as well as to develop a better understanding of the workings of the body from a more scientific approach in terms of nutrition, movement, recovery, as well as how to deliver this knowledge to potential clients.
I enjoyed testing myself with this information and incorporating it into my own fitness routines. Since completing the course I have been able to take on a few clients, a couple of times per week as a passion of mine outside of full time employment in the Royal Australian Navy.
Thanks for all of the assistance during the course it was a great experience for me.

“My Name is Lorenzo Coppola. I have always been extremely passionate about fitness throughout my life.
This passion has manifested itself into me playing soccer my whole life and getting into the gym at a young age.
I completed my Cert IV with the Australian College of Sport & Fitness. While I was completing the course I was offered a job at a prestigious gym in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
Without the education and ongoing support system at this organisation I would not have been able to achieve what I have. ”
